'The Mezzotint' is captured perfectly in angular sepia tones, creating an opressive, malevolent tone. The disparate artistic styles really work in the book's favour and provide a wonderful counterpoint to the imagery from prevoius illustrations and BBC adaptations. 'Canon Alberic's Scrapbook' has a very 1970s EC comic book feel followed (as in the original source material) by 'Lost Hearts' which has an altogether more modern Tim Burton/anime-style which works beautifully.
